Kempegowda International Airport is Karnataka's first fully solar powered airport. It has nonstop international flights to Mauritius, Dubai, London, and Hong Kong. Domestic flights to Nagpur, Delhi, Kolkata, Chandigarh, and Mumbai are also available.
The airport has a single passenger terminal that is divided into two buildings - Terminal 1 for domestic flights and Terminal 2 for international flights. It has a variety of amenities and services for passengers, including restaurants, cafes, duty-free shops, lounges, ATMs, currency exchange, baggage storage, and free Wi-Fi.
Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation operates a shuttle service from nine different locations in the city to the airport for the convenience of passengers. A bus picks up passengers at regular intervals of 30 minutes. Furthermore, this airport provides services such as three different lounges, a buggy service, a wheelchair for senior citizens, and many more.
The airport is well-connected to the city centre by various modes of transportation such as taxis, airport shuttles, and public buses. It also has a dedicated airport train service called the Bangalore Airport Rail Link (BARL) that connects the airport to the city's main railway station, Bangalore City Junction.
